Use the tab that touches the needle valve.

Only a very small adjustment is then required.

As you hold the carb upside down, the lower the arms are, the higher the fuel level will be.

Bending the arms can cause the float arm to bind on the piviot pin, as can over exuberant bending of the tab.

Check the arms are free by removing the pin and spinning the arm horizontally on it while holding the pin between thumb and forefinger.

Any bind can cause variations in the fuel level or even flooding and fuel cut off.

Make sure the back stop tab hasn't been bent so that it stops the fuel actually cutting off.

This happens when folk bend the wrong tab and when they put the float bowl on, the tab contacts the chamber wall and stops the arm from rising enough and cutting off the fuel.

(Warning pitlane bull maybe)
