Hi Simon,
The rear track can be measured from wherever you want to really, but most people will refer to the width from the outside of the two rear rims. This should be set to 1380-1395mm. The wider the rear width, the less rear grip you will get and vice versa. The 010b is generally a very grippy chassis at the rear and is more designed more juniors than for seniors, so as a heavier driver try to have the back end as wide and as loose in setup as possible i.e. loosen the middle bearing, loosen the back bumper (not too much though), possibly lower the ride height, and have the seat a little more upright. If you have the back end too grippy or too tight then the kart will not release from the corner and you will get slow exits from the corner. This is particularly important in 177 because the power to weight ratio is obviously lower than in the 162 class.
Hope this helps, if you would like any more information just drop me an email, Harry@H-Kart.com
