Thanks all-I guess it must be a carb problem. The carb was new out of the box, used for about an hour before engine rebuild. Other carb was much older but I'd rebuilt it with diaphragm, gaskets etc, but don't suppose it can be anything else. I'm using the pink gasket and have checked that hole lines up etc, just scratching my head now.

Should be able to get my hands on another newish, fully working carb just to try, will do that in the week, just seems too much of a coincidence same probs each carb but I can't think what else it can be.

Shouldn't be main seals, rebuild included new conrod, seals, piston ring etc, in fact nearly had to have a new crank as well.

And I do this for fun!
