what a great format for the racer, but not so good for team and circuit owners, i for one and a few others have been looking into this since end of the season and we think you will save more than 50% of your costs by just doing Sunday's.
if like me you sometimes return home saturday you save straight away not to mention the extra practice fee, fuel, tyres, oil, carb kits, chains, engine rebuilds, chance of damage as not so experienced drivers are out on Saturday getting in the way, just tot it up how much this lot cost you on a Saturday and I'm sure there's more if you really want to nit pick
i for one in this current economic climate would like to be given the choice and wouldn't mind paying a little bit extra to have 2 practices on race day and if you wanted, test Saturday as most places we race you only get 8/10 lap heats and a 10/12 final anyway I'm sure things could be run a little more efficiently even have all jnrs then all senior class together for there practices, after all other motorsports manage to have practice on race day,motorcross/grass track hill climbs. why test if you can send your money racing if that's all you want to do,think how many more meetings you could do Saturday only if you wanted. lets face it for 95% of us its a hobby and that's all it will ever be, let those with grand illusions of being the next f1 champ keep dreaming and blowing all there hard earned chasing a DREAM.i for 1 just enjoy being with my lad doing something we both get enjoyment out of and if we win a pot or 2 that puts the icing on the cake
