May be some current engine builders that have sealing franchises, do not want super cadet and quote high costs.... If they seal comer or rotax, do they want unsealed super cadet engines??? Although this year looks like being expensive in super cadet, as everyone is paying to learn what is quick and works! Sadly karting does cost a lot...more than it should. Although figures are exagerated greatly. We run with a top cadet team and before we joined, I heard figures quoted that sounded massive. The actual cost is 30% of what most people think. Still signifcant money, although karting thrives on B*ll Sh*it, special this, special that, selected widget, etc. It is still the pilot that is the biggest factor, although money does cloud that and if you have none and a great driver, it will be hard. Then it might be better to buy some boots and a ball......
