On what planet is 'only' Ł4,500 a year for engine hire reasonable? The reason UK motorsport at every level is so successful is that it has always been accessable and so the Gene pool is that much bigger.

If that sort of madness continues, only the offspring of the very rich will be able to be showcased in high level karting. Just as has happened in France, which is why they have virtually no decent drivers 'coming through'.
