Couple of ideas.

Are they Wildkart hubs? If they are then you will have a problem with them.

One way of definitely stopping them moving in is to use the hub spacers that are available from KKC.

They are plastic 50mm discs that fit inside the hubs and prevent the hub from moving up the axle.

They come in a few thicknesses to allow you to pad out to your desired width.

Another way is to drill and tap the hub collar with a 4 or 5mm grub screw over the keyway insert.

The grub screw then gives a bit more grip on the keyway insert and if it gets overly maked up it can be replaced.

If you can Helicoil the hub's collar thread, then so much the better.

You can get axle collars but they tend to be a bit pricey. (RS Components, Radio Spares to us oldies)

I think using locktite would make quick adjustments a bit tricky.

I actually apply WD40 to our Tony hubs and they don't slip but quality tells.

Are you using a cutdown axle by any chance?
