I am told by my engine supplier that there are several engines to choose from and as one manufacturer improves his engine so the next will try and make his better this will result in your current engine being out of date in a short space of time.
As I said to stay competetive you will have to keep up with the engine developments in this class or you could stick with your original engine and run at the back.
