The first thing to do is to go to the track and ASK the drivers what they think.....and take what they tell you with a pinch-pof-salt.... and then look at the RESULTS of that chassis.

I'd then arrange a DRIVE on the ones that you have short-listed. It won't tell you as much as you hope but, at least, it will show you if it suits your driving style. If you can't arrange a test drive on a 'dealer's chassis' set up by them for BEST performance, then be wary! They don't sound THAT good at 'support'!

Choose a kart that you can get REPAIRED by a great dealer or by the manufacturer withon a decent diatnce from 'home' or, at least, has good 'race day' support AT the track!

Remember that there really is NOT that much difference between any of the top 4 karts in ANY class!

Also remember that every karter on the planet will tell you that the chassis they drive TODAY is the best one or that the one they are ABOUT to buy is the best one..... It's not in their interest to tell you that they made an appalling choice.... is it??! Everybody wants to think (or to tell YOU) they made a good choice!

Finally, if more than ONE make/model of chassis is winning local races, you can be CERTAIN that there is no 'killer' chassis which is SIGNIFICANTLY better than any other.... or it would be winning EVERY race, wouldn't it???!
