" All sprockets must use a 15x19x17 needle cage bearing and O-ring seal except in the case of an 11 tooth sprocket. An 11 sprocket must be fitted with a plain bearing and O-ring seal "
When the newly revised 11 tooth sprocket with O ring was announced a week before Buckmore Super 1 I made a point of approaching JAG on the Friday at Buckmore to purchase this newly wonderful revised item....
Manufactured and made to eliminate any possibility of allowing any foreign body into the clutch face and thus preventing any possibility of clutch slip ( as per the exclusion at Rowrah S1 of a frontrunning Senior Rotax contender at the time through NO FAULT of his own )
JAG duly took my money (thats a laugh, surely the first item they supplied SHULD be suitable and if not WHY should I have to pay MORE of my hard earned for THEIR initial cock up, this ruling/new 11 tooth front sprocket now makes the 3 existing 11 tooth front sprockets I'd bought via JAG redundant....may I have a refund ? Yea...fat chance, great customer service NOT)
I tried the NEWLY revised 11 tooth front sprocket (slightly recessed to the rear to allow the rubber O ring to sit flush, hence you cannot use your existing ones)....and guess what...
IT DOESN'T WORK !
It fouls the clutch face !
The driver can physically feel it holding back out of the corners !
It is SO TIGHT you cannot even turn it with your hand without applying great pressure...
JAG (John) came to inspect....
As usual they blame it on everything else....
Clutch face ( so we tried another )
Clutch drum ( so we tried another )
In the end he said... " err... well it doesnt have any effect once out on track..." Rubbish !
John Hoyle sympathised...
Nigel Edwards shook his head in disbelief...
I am absolutely sick to death of both the MSA's, Manufacturers, seemingly knee jerk reactions to rules, products, services etc...
Graham, wake up....lets concentrate on KEEPING your existing customers (of the MSA etc) rather than your usual calling of "How are we going to get new people into our sport"....
Disillusioned at best ! Rant over !
