This is what we were told (junior) keep going down in jet sizes until you get popping or missfiring at high revs/end of straight then go up a jet. It will get you close. I found you can't copy someone else as all engines and more importantly carbs are different (float hight makes a difference for example) If John or Chris post then they will give better advice.
