I think LFP batteries are is a good development so long as you dont assume that they are just light lead-acid batteries.I would say -
1. Get a decent LFP specific charging system - (expensive ). In RC people spend a lot more on chargers than on batteries - If you use a simple lead acid spec charger don't be surprised if your battery only lasts a few months.
2. Wait until JAG or BRP agree them and MSA approve them if using them in MSA races / UK Rotax - so far as I know the standard type lead acid battery is the only battery allowed in Rotax- in fact I think its not that long since the rules said you had to use only Rotax or Yuasa branded items.

In general, LFP is much nicer to have than more common LiPo R/C batteries as it doesnt explode when you get charging wrong or rupture a battery cell(yes - really!) and I believe is not so sensitive on going below min voltage that kills LiPo instantly but has a few issues of its own - lower voltage per cell and lower capacity being the main two.
