Depends on when you are cleaning it.

During the week after racing, any of the above are good: we use a strong water jet (after the foam filter is removed) and leave the filter box to drain and dry in warm air.
Then we wash the foam filter in fuel from the previous meeting.

I would think if cleaning between heats, a simple swiling of the filter body would be sufficient.

Any more ideas?
