250`s are certainly beasts, even 250 national, which I assume would be what you mean, but, unless you are going to race long-circuit, you will probably find that there is little difference in lap times between 125 and 250, simply because a 250 is very hard pressed to stretch it`s legs on most small circuits.
Three Sisters for example, is one of the longest, probably the widest and arguably the quickest short track in the country, yet even there, I doubt you would find too much difference on lap times, and for sure a good 125 driver would beat an average 250 driver.......long circuit of course would be a different matter.
