The reason the 2 weight bands weren't included at S1 wasn't because of Talko recognising there would probably be a difference it was because all the teams came together and recognised there would DEFINATELY be a difference.
I would say the reaction to the fact that those running at 144kg DEFINATELY had an advantage is a wise move by Talko reacting to customer input.
However, why do they have to make the class so complicated. These question marks will only raise more uncertainty around what is actually a great class. Why can't Talko recognise that if you run two different weight limits / restrictors - no matter what the different limits are their will always be a speculation around the difference. In reality, they cant be directly comparable for every track in every set of conditions. Why are the teams and majority of Talko's customers reading the situations better than Talko (hence the reason for only 1 weight category at S1)?
Message to Talko: Why not make it mandatory to run 152KG and no restrictor as in S1? A very small minority of drivers will have to put a lot of lead on to reach this but it really is the minority! If I was considering TKM as an alternative to other classes, this is another question mark that would make me nervous about making that choice.
