Yes.... well.....

It's a JICA of some sort (Junior Inter- Continental 'A'). The Piston ported carb is the give-away. In case you don't know, that means that the air and fuel enters straight into the barrel rather than the crank case and is 'valved' (opened and closed) by the piston rather than using Reeds or Rotary Valves. These are the LEAST powerful of the 2 stroke class designs.

I list it as a Junior ICA because that clas scaught-on in the UK whereas Seniors (just called ICA) didn't. Thus it's more likely to be a Junior.

It's probably a Parilla (but I am guessing!) but seeing the side of the motor would help.

It's a nice-ish type of engine... producing, I suppose, about 20 bhp. A Reed Valved or a Rotary Valved engine would produce about 26/28 bhp. It'll have a Clutch (centrifugal) and will need an extrernal electric starter.

However..... please tell your friends at 'Detailing World' that calling it a 'Go-Kart' is like calling Rossi's GP bike a 'Moped'....... It's still quick enough to scare their pants clean off!

And tell them it's NOT a 'Cadet'.... and no... not ALL TKMs have side-intakes..... the TKM BT82 (the current TKM class engine) is also a Piston-port engine and that has the carb on the front, too.
