Whoever cooked up the “KZ” designation certainly didn’t do their homework re international application as any business or organisation should do as a matter of course nowadays: in German it’s the abbreviation for “concentration camp”. Surprise, surprise, the designation is therefore used very little in Germany, where they tend to stick with the equivalent of “shifter” (“Schalter”).

Nothing against the karts, mind: I find it odd that they enjoy only so relatively minor popularity in the UK.
