Hairpin was used only a couple of times after resurfacing at club hairpin broke up (late 2002?). The club wanted to use it as a third alternative in the champs but, as you say, MSA would not ratify more than 4 configs (no room on the form, I heard!!)
It was a nice config with off camber out of Valley, especially in the wet - AndyJay enjoyed it. Not much of a view from dummy grid though.
Never heard about the endurance.
