Quote:- “If there's one thing I've learnt, don't overlook or dismiss anything try it all...” My suggestion of chocolate covered wheels was to point out the poor reasoning in that statement. It has obviously worked as you now appear to acknowledge that you should 'overlook' and 'dismiss' chocolate covered wheels and not 'try it all'.
quote:- “but some things are totally illogical and have proved to be a lot quicker on the day.” This is also poor reasoning because it states that you should test illogical things because it could prove quicker. Which could include the illogical chocolate covered wheels.
Quote:- “I always welcome others opinions, but when they suggest something isnt worth trying, based a hypothesis thought up in their potting shed I have to step in and say something” Why would you dismiss an opinion, that you haven't heard, based on what you think it suggests? Why would you dismiss a hypothesis based on where it was thought up? What possible relevance could that have on the quality of the hypothesis?
