Think it through. If a hacksaw can damage it, try something different: how about a Dremmel with a circular saw blade? Obviously, try borrowing one FIRST!

However, there's a logic here. Buying a new body to repair the problem will solve ONE problem. However, if the Dremmel is not much more expensive than a new body, then you STILL have the Dremmel to fix other problems as they arrise throught your karting life ..... and all the OTHER tasks for which a Dremmel would be good!

The 'easy-out' method is unlikely to work as the size of the screw you are trying to remove is (probably) thinner than the smallest 'easy-out'.

Final suggestion. Take the body to an engineering works and explain the problem. They are EXPERTS and may have a solution of which we haven't thought. If the screw was bigger, they might suggest 'Spark'-welding a new head to the screw and removing it that way. Engineers are clever b*gg*rs!
