No, what I mean is that certainly you should react to it, but react to it in the right way. For example, in my post where I'm trying to show the s1 series is going to be better this year thanks to tv, showing you not really to be the devil but merely annoying people from the PR and that people should sign up for s1 - you're still saying things to me like "I think what you are actually saying is that you had a complaint and it did not go your way"
If you remember I only had one complaint in the entire Motors TV series, and you excluded the driver responsible. You need drivers (like me for example) to be on your side, or at least neutral towards you! The way to achieve this is not through random assumptions as to why they're saying anything! I am saying this because I see needless negetive feedback on a potentially fantastic series next year, not because the decision on a (non-existant) complaint didn't go my way.

Ok, you ask for examples. I will use them from this thread.

"Carry on digging your hole Mr Moss..... Now I seem to remember you had a mutual appreciation society going on with another driver's dad. It'll come to me......Just who was that again?"
--- This ending was not necessary. You need this driver on your side, will this statement get him on your side?

"Now.... I'll get it.....It's coming to me...Who was your best mate again? The words "dogs" and "sleeping" come to mind....."
--- This doesn't sound very professional. Remember, you're talking to your customers.

"Two supporters in one posting... I'm on a roll!"
--- highlighting the fact that you feel you have few supporters is not a good idea.

"I think Ben used him for Kartmasters the week before and he had done it in that as well [the annoying camerawork], but I haven't seen the programme"
--- This might be seen by some as a dig at another series' camerawork. Again, this isn't very professional.

Alan, this isn't an attack on you. I'm just pointing out that if you're going to respond in this fashion you can't be surprised by the reaction you get. It's basic PR skills. I know you just want to respond to every attack you get and 'give as good as you get' but as you're a representative of the series now (although you may complain, you are!) you've got to react as such.

If you get a comment like "Oh I hate Alan Taddei, he's an arrogant ****". Then there is a LOT of difference between
1) "I'm sorry you feel that way. I do try to respond to everyone's complaints but sometimes I am under quite a lot of stress with the camerawork and can come across as such. Hope to see you next year!
2) "Well you should have complained then. I was available 24/7. You're simply complaining now because a decision didn't go your way! And your association with a certain driver might have something to do with it"

Everything in 2) may well be true, but it won't gain you any friends. Certainly the driver you're talking to wouldn't turn up to the series! You may well be a perfectly nice guy Alan but you've got to actually show it! I hope you have a good series. I'd enter but I haven't got the funds or the time this year lol.
