Properly set up, a DD kart is extremely easy to start on your own, especially the BT82, and even from cold. You don't need hand throttles or easystart wheels. The hand throttle is useful when starting uphill but I've never needed one.

The trick is setting the carb to idle at a light jog then practicing the correct pushing technique.
