tv companies will only pay for rights to record racing, if it is profitable, for instance f1, indycar, nascar etc

if its smaller series, for instance short oval racing in the uk, club racing etc then usually the series has to pay to be on tv. like i said in a previous post though, superkarts, stockhatch, hot fords etc get on tv on motors tv, but dont have to pay extra for the privilage and they arent exactly pulling in the viewers, so i wonder what sort of deal they have going with motors tv....
