If you ask for bolts, you will get 'bolts' with hexagonal heads (for spanners). However, a Cap Head bolt is tightened with an 'Allen Key'.

Ideally, use good quality ones; these are usually black as many of the 'shiny' ones are of inferior quality. However, the MOST important thing is to use 'Nyloc' nuts on the other end! These come in a range of 'heights'. If you have plenty of space between the sprocket and the wheel, you can use the 'taller' ones; if your space is tight, use the shorter ones. These Nylocs prevent/reduce the chance of the nut coming loose. However, you MUST replace them REGULARLY!

Finally, the Cap Heads should have a 'shoulder' on them, i.e., the bolt should NOT be threaded along its whole length: the bit that is within the sprocket/sprocket-carrier should NOT be threaded.

Here are some images of what you need:-

Any good kart shop will sell them to you. Spellfame are a nice company. However, if you intend to stay in karting for a long time, all kart shoips are a DAMNED expensive way of buying nuts and bolts. Find a local 'motor factor' or 'fasteners' shop/van. The cost of 100 bolts/nuts from such a place is about the same as the cost of 5 bolts/nuts from a kart shop! However, kart shops are VERY convenient and make sense if you only need a few of any item.
