For goodness sake - How can any non-professional club racers honestly expect no contact on a day like Sunday! It was mad!

..but damm good fun actually.

I personally have not raced in the wet ALL year at Rye. Not a sinlge heat, from and including January. (Missed June race)

So I had about 20 minutes on Saturday and 3 laps practice. I suspect I am not alone. Visibility was poor and I watched a lot of racing on Sunday, more than usual and I can honestly say I was pretty damm impressed all round.

As someone who had actually being out in the conditions and not just watch "my lad" from the sidelines the driving standards were pretty exceptional given the EXCEPTIONAL conditions.

Well Done to everyone. As Alan said - 3 Heats + Finals in November in a monsoon, on a track that is on the water table! Brilliant.

Yes, I can criticise.

Sort out the timing cable....Don't say stay inside the white lines and let everyone go round the outside of stadium...etc..etc.

"ALL" clubs miss incidents. It's a bit like football, the professional version. (Unlike non-professional club kart racing) Ref's miss things and make mistakes, and if you team did not get the penalty they deserved then the Ref should be sacked, shot etc..blah blah. We Brits love to moan, but unless we have video replays of the whole track there is no way we will ever trap 100% of incidents, and 100% get them right.

Lets get real! It's a hobby!
