Allegedly, there's about 1/2 bhp difference between the two engines, with a C reputed to get 42/43 bhp and a B 40/41.

Power wise, there isn't a huge amount of difference, apparently a C is the better engine to have on Short circuit and B is possibly slightly more suited to long circuit because of power characteristics.

If you're new to gearbox, I'd say stick with a B for now, spend the extra money on testing or a new set of tyres.
