There are many reasons why TKM numbers have been declining over the last few years...new classes promising more for less (which by the way knocked out quite a few other classes a long time ago i.e. ICA, Formula C, C160, Piston Port, etc), drivers moving on to do other things outisde of motorsport, controversial rule changes, and current economic times, and many more...the latter point quite evidently having a big effect. Look at the Rotax and Blue grids, they are hardly booming themselves. What isnt to blame is the club or other nearby clubs. I know that over the years MBKC has fully supported TKM which I'm very grateful for. Ive been able to race in the same class, with the same few engines for over 12 years, so Ive had my moneys worth (and not forgetting my dads). Personally, I'll probably try and do a few races at Hooton next year but I'm also interested in the KF clubman class that I hear about. As Neal C said, its about "consumer choice".
