"Whether you're just doing clubbies or racing week in week out, you always want to know you stand a chance of winning. Surely you're not out there giving up your weekend just to make up the numbers, and if you are, you're in the wrong sport and have demonstrated my point exactly.... The relaxed laws COULD attract the wrong people to the class, which will ruin the racing."
I could scarcely disagree more. I'm afraid your vision for our sport sounds awful. Everybody would like to win, but only a few really know that they stand a chance of doing so. How are the less quick ever to improve, if they are unwelcome in your elitist world? I think it is you who are in the wrong sport, karting is & should remain for the enjoyment of all, regardless of ability.
