Your best bet to start off with is Blackbushe, Camberlay kart club. They have a few 125s, which normally race with the 250s, around 10 250s on race day.

During the winter months Blackbushe have practice days most Saturdays. Not many gearbox karts practice on these days, so you'll have only a few karts on track while you practice.

Also you don't need a license to practice at Blackbushe.

Practice dates...
October- 10th.
November- 7th, 14th, 21st.
December- 5th, 12th, 26th.
