The future is indeed a dark one, if you are to be believed!

We tend to get a rebuild at around every 18 months after racing every month fri,sat,sun.

Paul Carr Racing rebuilds our engines at around half the prices you quote and you can get rebuilds cheaper than that, Dartford Karting for instance are currently quoting Ł450 including VAT for a rebuild including a new "09" cylinder, piston and seal etc.

Now that's an annual rebuild budget of around Ł10 per weekend at my service intervals.

At the world championships as I am sure you know, everybody including HRS use engines straight out the box from Rotax.

The one's who win regularly at all levels tend to be good drivers who know how to set up a chassis to match the track conditions.
