Best way is a small amount of lube on the pins then put the shoes on and then place the springs in place using a suitable tool (a strong circlip tool works a treat).
I always take the clutch off every few meetings and clean and lube things to keep it good.
If you get wear in the shoe pivot holes or one breaks replace them as a set or more will go as it puts wear on them all.
