hi lee by far the easist way is to assemble the three springs onto each clutch shoe and then work them onto each pin on the starter gear a bit at a time whilst ensuring your not nipping the rubber spacers behind. you will get use to this as the old style clutch is rather fragile and prone to snapping spings willynilly and then the shoes snap off and finaly the pins. after you work out the cost of constantly replacing these parts the new clutch dos'nt seem that expensive. hope this helps
