the tony kart rocky and intrepid have a regs compliant nosecone and there are other karts out there!
its only the zip that has the ramp attached to the front of it, and is in complete contradiction to the regs.

im convinced that the performance of the zip chassis is down to the design of the nose cone, well not entirely but it definatley helps, i bet my lads intrepid would be quicker with one on it.

i have to admit i like the look of the zip, especially the stilo sidepods. but safety comes first. my lad has been lucky twice. once at pfi when he hit a zip and landed ontop of a zip kart that span facing the wrong way, luckily for him it was coming out of the hairpin so wasnt going fast or it might have been different story and once at our local track where his kart left the ground and he was 3ft in the air ,luckily for him again he landed the kart on four wheels and escaped uninjured.
