I would be looking at the fuel height in the float bowl myself. Check the float level (see John Savage's article on here) and unless it is 3mm, I would reset it to 3mm, test that the hesitation has gone, and work up from there (assuming the problem to be momentary fuel starvation). If it was 3mm already , I would probably go up to 6mm and work down from there (in case it was too rich at the point of hesitation)
