This is almost 99% a Jetting issue. What I belive is happening is you son turns in and lift off the carb then fills itself and dumps fuel into the motor the hessitation is the time it takes to burn off the excess un-needed fuel. It will do ths with either a Main jet being too large which in this case just go leaner and leaner till the hesitation dissapers or maybe you have the clip on the needle too low if so go back to top position and this should help. (always stay on Pin 1 or 2 on the new 09 engines anything else doesnt work FACT!!)
