I think it should be noted here that Club 100 is one of (if not THE) the most popular forms of outdoor karting in the UK. Do they have clutches and sticky tyres? Nope.
They have Direct Drive BT82 engines, Bridgestone YDS tyres and central point steering. Sounds like the TKM class of 10 years ago doesn't it?
The only reason I move to Formula Blue after 7 years of TKM was because I knew the club grids in my area would be a mere shadow of it's former self within a year (which, in most cases, it is). If CIK chassis were allowed, I would seriously consider moving back as I'm fed up of bloody starter motors and power packs failing every 2 seconds. But I would only move back If there is a guarantee that the chosen tyre provides the same amount of skill to control as the current tyre.
