Several years ago I sold 2 'old' 2000 and 2001 TKM chassis to a Scout group who were going to fit Honda GX160 motors. I did point out that it was not as straight forward as a simple bolt on, but the challenge is what they wanted. I think I asked for about £100 each with lots of old tyres and rims. It constantly amazes me that people ask un-relistically high prices for old racing karts. I know they cost a lot when new or nearly new, but they can hardly be described as driven by 1 careful old lady when 3 or 4 years old!! I have sold good CIK chassis on Ebay, (Tony Mitox and Birel M32) starting at 99 pence and not some silly starting price. Good photographs and an honest description will attract buyers. Say what i and is not include. So often the description of karts are clearly wrong. Wrong make name or wrong class of chassis. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole unless you know what it is from the photos etc. Also be prepared to meet someone half way without silly milage charges for a reasonable distance. Are you trying to sell it or have it block up your garage forever. I try and do cash on collection or delivery. If it clearly rubbish just walk away. Bad feedback never hurts you. It is a shame that this site is unable to show photos etc. on the Market place.
