I have been struggling with my engine bogging down as well coming out of hairpins when the engine is low on revs. I put my engine on my mates kart which is the same chassis but not the same year (that would make it to easy!!) and was amazed by the low end grunt that I have never experienced from a rotax before.
This is now where I have got totally confused. His chassis gave me loads of rear grip on entry into the corner where as mine slides. I copied his set-up as much as poss i.e front hub lengths and axle widths, rear bar out etc etc and this has cured the rear slide but the motor is still sh*t out of the corners.
Regarding the front castor/camber adjusters, I have lasered it so that the red dots meet in the centre but in order to get this it means having the top adjuster facing inwards rather than forwards or backwards as I have spied on other peoples set-up. If I do this the lasers will face downwards (top of tyres facing inwards). The bottom adjuster faces forwards. I mention this incase this is perhaps where the problems lay.
I appreciate the obvious answer is to try it but during test day before the race the time is limited and have got to point where I cannot see the wood for the trees!!! Any ideas????
