1) Faulty temp sensor?
2) Momentary fuel line blockage?
3) If they occur in the same place on laps, could you be running too little fuel in your tank and the fuel pick up failing on long carners (e.g., Stadium)?
4) Driver (or seat) leaning onto fuel line and blocking it?
5) Have you tried a different carb with the same engine
6) Do your 'other' engines (if you have them) produce the same spike?
7) is there any pattern to the spikes.
8) Are the spikes REALLY 'sharp edged' or does it rise smoothly.... to a peak and then fall away smoothly?
