KJM.... that's tripe!

If anyone REALLY believed that, they would not bother to BUY engine tuning from such a company!

However.... the TRUTH is that the engine tuners make CERTAIN (where they can) that good DRIVERS use the 'works motors' and THAT means that the combination of Tuner X's motor and a GOOD driver will beat Tuner X's motor with YOU driving it!

Personally, I think current tuners miss a REALLY simple trick that was done by Dartford karting WAY back in the 1960s and 1970s. They offered a tuning service at a fixed price. They then sent out their best driver (Roy Mailer... British Champion) each week on such a motor with a GUARANTEE that, at the end of EVERY race meeting, you could buy the motor that Roy just used at EXACTLY THE SAME PRICE as a new one plus tuning! It was then your CHOICE to buy what YOU thought was the BEST motor if you thought he was getting a 'special'!

It still staggers me how little people have learned from the stuff we all KNEW all those years ago!
