I think the issue is far from resolved, but as mentioned many times before, there really is only one rule being questioned here, (3K rpm rule, lets not go into modded clutches etc.), and there is a clear cut way of testing this rule. And it doesn't involve stripping the clutches down, so whats the big deal? Let people grease up as much as they like, if they fail the test, they fail the test, it's their own fault for taking the risk.
