Hi Eifion,

How long between rebuilds depends on several factors. But as a general rule of thumb, we found that a "stuck ring" can be a problem between 8/10 hours of service.

If you want to keep your engine in peak condition, don't wait too long to have a "top end" overhaul, to correct this problem.

In our experience (of three knocked-out bigends) any time over 20hrs of competitive racing risks failure of the bigend bearing: better to replace than meet the extra expence caused by breakdown of these parts in service.

I can recommend a certain importer of Arrow Karts at Royston, Barnsley, who builds our engines.
