Ive been fitting a new service kit to one of the spare carbs from my lads jr. Tkm, Ive set the paddle height to around 1mm without the lower gasket fitted (it isnt clear if the gasket should be fitted when setting this ?? ) Ive got the pop off gauge and have set it popping off at around 12psi by stretching the spring , it drops pretty quickly and it holds 5.

but On one of my spare carbs I cant replicate this despite fiddling for ages, Ive done pretty much the same and after it pops off at 12psi the pressure seems slow to drop and eventually drops to 2psi?is there something obvious im missing??

also Ive heard various recomendations on pressure some as low as 9psi holding 3. to 14psi holding 8psi. what Im curious to know is what effects will it have if it pops off lower or higher and holds at more or less pressure than the recomended.

thanks in advance

JC
