Not to mention that the wings on the F1 cars help throw the spray much higher and in the turbulent air generated, which contributes to the cloud. In karting the spray is only generated by the tread which disperses relatively fast and isn't as dense!

The other point is the fact that F1 and enclosed cars have deflectors and windscreens/wipers respectively which improve the visibility. In karting the water is ON your visor! No amount of LED will help that!
