Warm tyres go on much easier than cold ones .
You really dont need tyre tongs once you have found the knack ( so save Ł70 for something else ).
Put an old thick leather belt around the tyre to act as tyre band , it will encourage the tyrewall bead to expand outwards rather than bulge the centre of the tread out .
Lube tyre beads inside and out and the rim , it will make life much simpler .
If using a compressor , remove the inside part of the valve in the rim this will allow the air into it without any restriction and inflate faster , once seated let air out , replace valve insert and re-fill with air .
