You are going in the right direction!

Ignore the Mychron for a while except to use it as a rev counter.

If you want to go faster, use it CORRECTLY.....

Simply find a 'bump' or 'line' or some sort of mark that you 'hit' EVERY time you exit a specific corner, ideally one that crosses the track at right angles. To do this best, select a corner which has a LONG straight after it. Drive SAFELY but watch your revs as you CROSS that line. Your aim is to INCREASE the revs as you cross that line. Try ANY/EVERY trick that you can do... legally... about your driving to improve that 'exit speed'. Whatever gives you the HIGHEST revs at that point will be the BETTER 'line'/'technique'. Never stop trying to improve those revs at THAT point....

I know it sounds simple.... it IS! And it WORKS!
