Hi,

My ARC TKM chassis has a floating brake disc. As well as the lateral movement thats meant to be there is also some longitudinal/vertical movement which allows it to rotate slightly relative to the brake disc carrier. The total movement is only about 0.5mm but it does mean that there is some wind up before the brakes will work. I'm new to karting so i've not picked up the problem whilst driving and dont know if it would affect it much, i just noticed it whilst giving it a check over.

Should this movement be there or have the holes in the disc worn?
Is this likely to affect the brake performance?
The disc is about 4mm thick so theres still a bit of life left in it.
