I believe there are different size heads - down to manufacturing tolerances. These are marked externally by rotax on the head. (cant remember how or where on head). These allow the pistons to be sized to the head. Now my rotax builder puts undersize pistons in to help the engine rev. My memory is a little vague so I'm sure someone will correct me/fill in the pieces.
