The article suggests that for maximum power you have to run a `rich' mixture and for economy you run a `lean' mixture.
Buying your fuel from a busy petrol station should help avoid problems such as dirt in the fuel but there have been suggestions that the name on the pumps does not always match the fuel in the tanks.If this is true then the oxygen content may not be consistent.
As has been said elsewhere on the forum, at club meetings you can probably get away with anything as the fuel testing equipment is expensive - hence the need for control fuel for major events.
