try those settings and it should be good to run all day whatever the conditions.the last thing you need when you are starting out is to be messing about with the carb

like i say though,make sure the diaphrams and gaskets are fresh as if they are past their sell by date it wont matter what setting you have the carb at,it will run poorly

also,always keep an eye on the little circular grill in the top of the carb as that can block up very quickly and of course,that would make it run leaner
